Dr. Ahmad Sheikh, Head of Solid State & Comp.Chem., AbbVie

Ahmad Sheikh is Senior Research Fellow and Head of Solid-State Chemistry at AbbVie. He has over 20 years of pharmaceutical development experience across several Fortune 500 Pharma Companies. At AbbVie, Ahmad has been pivotal in the development and commercialization of a broad range of recently launched medicine including including Viekira, Venclexta, Mavyret, Orilissa and Rinvoq. He earned his B. Eng. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University College London in the UK. He has authored over 30 scientific papers, 3 book chapters and is an inventor on 20 patents.
