J-STAR Research, Inc., is pleased to announce the completion
of the synthesis and delivery of a cGMP batch of an
Epothilone derivative to support clinical trials as
a potential treatment of cancer.
The Epothilones are a class of naturally occurring
bacterial metabolites which possess cytotoxic and antifungal
properties.
The complex synthetic sequence employed 35 synthetic
steps and constitutes another milestone achievement
in the history of our company.
This challenging project highlights our capabilities
to scale up (cGMP) and synthesize a complex natural
product with potential life saving application.
